East Lothian Star

A magnificent Wallis & Steevens traction engine.

Built in 1930, engine number 8052 is named "East Lothian Star".
Reg No. OU 7435.

This engine was originally sold to a local engineering company in Hampshire
& later re-sold and removed to Norfolk.
From there it came to East Lothian but, unfortunately, I don't
know the "who, where or when" of this.

The above photo was taken at a steam rally in the South of England in 2002

Wallis and Steevens were a major manufacturer of steam traction vehicles,
road rollers and road making equipment in Hampshire.
They also produced static agricultural machinery.

Sadly, they ceased trading in 1981.

If you can provide any info about "East Lothian Star" please let me know.
