The Scott Family (Speedybank)

Thanks to Duncan Scott for these photographs & the accompanying info.

"My father, Alistair Scott, was involved with the cricket club (the annual Batsman of the Year Trophy is the Alistair Scott Memorial Trophy),
and was treasurer of the Village Hall Restoration Society, that saw the hall refurbished and restored in the late 70's.
He passed away in 1985, and is buried in the Yester Church graveyard.
My mother, Beryl Scott, was a Home Economics teacher at Knox Academy, and used to judge the cakes etc on the Gala Day.

I've also attached a couple of photos of Speedybank, and its gardens, as it was when we lived there.
My parents transformed the front of the garden from a building site, laying the foundations for what it looks like now (I know, I'm biased).

I moved away from East Lothian around 1984 (but still have family here), but moved back to Haddington in 2003."
