This postcard was sent from Baro 87
years ago.
The message reads....
' The beauties of "My ain countree" hold me in (fetters?).
I find it hard to return to the humdrum life of ?.
Still I suppose I must - will see you next week.'
It appears to have been signed by someone called Runcie.
Click above to see larger images and please contact me if you
can supply any more info or can decipher the words which I can't.
The large flag on the house is also unidentified but may be the
"House" flag
with the Tweeddale coats of arms.
The area seen behind
the two men in the foreground is the croquet lawn.
