The caption says "Albany Series 1883".........but don't be fooled into thinking that's the date of the image.

The building with the lettering on the facade is the "Station Tea Room" and the railway didn't come to Gifford until 1901.
The actual date of this picture is unknown but given that the church has
not yet been painted white, it's probably pre-1913.

The street furniture is noteworthy.
