No date for this poster but given the imperial/military theme it's most probably Victorian.
The small lettering at the bottom of the poster says
"W. & A.K. Johnston Limited, Edinburgh & London".

  

 

 

These two photographs show Charles Donaldson also
sold his "own brand" bottled beer.

The stopper is made of glazed pottery.
The bottle is plain brown glass with no embossed lettering.
