This rather grand car was used to ferry children from outlying areas, such as Garvald, to & from the school.

Keith Brotherston (Longyester Farm) is standing in the car and Mark Gibson (Danskine Farm) is just stepping in.
Third in the queue is Master (?) Elliot, son of Tom & Ann, second from the rear is Sheila Dickson.
 

The car looks like it's an old Austin Princess usually reserved for weddings, funerals etc.
It was owned by Ian Glass (Haddington) and sat 2 kids in the front (column change) and about 80 in the back.

The chap could be the driver....Gordon Briggs?
