On Monday 3rd July 2006 the village received a visit from Estonian President Dr Arnold Rüütel and his wife Ingrid.
They were accompanied by Ross Finnie MSP the Scottish Agriculture & Fisheries minister.
The Presidential party enjoyed lunch at the Goblin Ha' Hotel.

My thanks to the police & security services for their help & advice whilst I took these photographs.

Police stop the traffic at each end of the village
for a few moments as the Presidential
entourage arrives.
