Split Screen Morris Minor

A beautiful rarity nowadays... a Morris Minor with a divided windscreen.
Seen in Gifford on 29th August 2007.

These cars were the design of Sir Alex Issigonis (he of the Mini) and were produced from 1948 - 1971.
They were fitted with a 913cc (later 948cc?) engine and, were, originally to be called the "Morris Mosquito".

I grew up with these type of cars but I'm constantly amazed as to how "quaint" they seem today.
