Luffness
An entrance gate to Luffness Castle from the early 1900's.
Luffness Castle or House is a 13th century structure rebuilt in the 16th century as a Scottish Tower House. The building may have been originally built for the Earls of Dunbar and March and was a monastery at one point in its life.
The name of Luffness is now more commonly associated with the golf course which was founded in 1867.
